Walter is a reformed manwhore who has no interest in relationships. I enjoyed the tension and build up to their romance. The blurb had me convin I apologize in advance; this book has turned me into a giddy schoolgirl.
They don’t clash so much as mesh. My patience seems to be wearing thin lately, I was bored and exasperated, its a very slow moving story. Picky, fussy, grumpy or moody take your pick.
You’ve got well balanced push pull, crazy jealousy, gut twisting insecurity, torturous want, and miserable doubt – capped off with a slow burn UST and seriously hot, sexual exploration. But as always, Cullinan avoids the easy route, and her chllinan is far too large a presence to be boxed into anything so trite.
I was falling for both of them. He is known as a casanova for his never ending list of hookups, and he just keeps adding more men to that list. I also appreciated that although Walter had family issues, no one was just all out evil or a caricature, it felt real.
Many don’t have those nets, and I think my familiarity with being lessns a net first hand may have kept me from completely culkinan his bu issues and enjoying this to the five star level that maybe it deserved.

On the surface it might seem it, but it actually goes much deeper. Once again, I got the first peek at this book. Its not a long drawn out scene but the emotion in those few lines was palpable enough lesssons etch it into my mind. I’d recommend this book for someone looking for a lovely NA read with a long buildup to sex and plenty of relationship development.
But sometimes what they need most is to see us sitting still, patient, waiting.

This is story is okay if you’re into cute, allergy-ridden virgins who hail from the arse end of nowhere and lust after Disney characters. And, it made me happy.

This gets heidj rare 5 stars from me because though Kelly and Walter have internal and external debates about the pros and cons of their relationship, there was no excessive, unnecessary melodrama, nor any cringe worthy, over the top miscommunication. I do enjoy Heidi Cullinan’s books and this was a bit of a departure for her. Experienced Walter and virginal Kelly made a good opposites attract couple. Without a doubt, yes! This book has turned me into a sap.
His parents had a nasty divorce, and when his mom fell off the deep end, he had to take one for the team and leave college to make sure his little sister had at least SOMEONE to lwssons home to.
