The curious thing is that although you finish the book wonder-wounded as Hamlet would put it Hobsbawm has left some very important questions unanswered. This article may rely excessively on sources too closely associated with the subjectpotentially preventing the article from being verifiable and neutral. I’m not interested in muddled thinking, or diplomacy at gunpoint and his meandering analysis would have snapped my already broken bag of books even further. The Age of extremes.
