The unattainable aspect is that she has a super popular boyfriend that she loves and would never leave. It’s brain candy and I don’t think we should expect much more from it than that, and that’s okay. Very interesting take on the whole Vampire culture very enjoyable. It doesn’t have a lot of substance but it’s fun. As a very-willing, adult reader who is sick of vampire books, I am just not part of the target audience. I feel like this series would be really good for people just getting into reading who aren’t sure what they like yet and this gives them a little bit of both fantasy and reality. However, each novel addresses a different issue be it a rogue vampire, a vampire hunter, vampires being kidnapped and experimented on, etc.
P I wouldn’t say that this book is bad, but it’s not as attractive as the other vampire books, BUT! The relationships are shallow.

While he is there, he became one of the popular guys because of the rich place that he lived. The first two books—Bloodlust and Initiation—are included in this omnibus. Not getting that at all.
And I rarely read a story through the eyes of a human boy character, esp I liked this book, although it sure took me a long time to get to the good part, but I find myself engrossed in the world of Vampires of Paradise. Again all heard multiple times before in multiple books.
Jason’s friend from Michigan, Tyler, twitchy and was pretty much the only one with potential but the author likes rapid fire and clean-cut resolution so that didn’t play alez like it could have.

Time flies What’s weird is that I actually like the characters! Nothing like any other books. This was such a fast paced, easy read for someone just getting into reading as a hobby rather than an obligation such as for school.
But Jason Freeman knows the girl’s blood was sucked out of her body before she fell. There are these moments where you know exactlty what’s going to happen.

The covers caught my eye as they reminded me of the Twilight Saga of which I’m a big fan. I admit, I only bought this because I thought it was a Twilight rip off so I wanted to see the mess the author made of it. There didn’t seem to be a meaning behind it. The only thing I find vaguely interesting is wondering about the gender of this ‘Alex Duval’ – Jason’s protagonist POV is so girly, it surely can’t be a man.
